From Revit Randoms -

1. Download the files here: Upgrade_PurgeUnused.zip
2. Extract to a folder of families you want to purge.
3. Copy the first family in your category and paste and rename it in the same folder.
4. Edit the 'Upgrade_PurgeUnused.txt' file.
5. Insert the file path of your 'dummy' family file.(update all 3 file paths)
6. Save and close.
7. Run the upgrade.rfa script.
8. Drag the 'Upgrade_PurgeUnused.txt' file onto your Revit icon. (make sure Revit is closed first.)
9. Watch in amazement as Revit opens and purges your families.
10. Go make coffee.

Now this can be used on any category of family, but you will need to make a dummy family that can be loaded into each category, else it will not work.

This document outlines the components of the Dynamo Revit Test Framework and provides examples of how to run NUnit tests against Revit from the command line.

It seems that the Revit Journal Cleaner 2013 stopped working as soon as Revit 2014 was installed a the computer.
I update the Revit Journal Cleaner to now support 2014 (and lower).

It does not remove/update the 2013 version, so the user will need to remove this one manually.

Resolution
find your last Journal File .
open it in notepad
put your cursor at the file BOTTOM of file ...
from the Edit pulldown menu select FIND , Select the Direction UP.

Hey Luke.
Here a small tool i made to clean op the journal files that revit leaves behind on the computer.
It seems it doesn not clean these files out of itselve, and can take up a lot of space on the computer pretty fast.
If anyone sees room for improvements they can use the contact button to mail them top me, so i can put it in a next version.
As gmail/hotmail wont let me sent a zip with an exe in it (install file) i uploaded it to my site, and can be downloaded here:
